HRAPF’s Community Outreach Program focuses on empowering individuals and building
capacity to champion non-discrimination and reduce the marginalisation of key populations. The
program targets marginalised persons, key populations including sex workers, persons who use
and inject drugs, women, girls, refugees, people living with HIV, and individuals in conflict with
abortion laws through issue-based human rights training workshops and meetings.
HRAPF conducts training needs assessments to tailor its human rights capacity development
program, ensuring relevance and impact. A comprehensive curriculum will be developed and
accredited to address identified needs, providing a structured approach to empowerment and
capacity building.
By equipping marginalised persons and key populations with knowledge and skills, the program
fosters greater demand for respect for human rights and strengthens the ability of communities
to advocate for their rights. This consolidated approach seeks to create lasting change and a more
inclusive society.
This programme also supports the HRAPF community paralegal programme and institutional
capacity support and strengthening for community organisations.
